U.S. Nursing periodically
offers licensing programs to help nurses become licensed
in certain states. Our programs help nurses, both financially
and in saving time, to receive their state license. To ensure
you take advantage of U.S. Nursing’s assistance, be
sure to send materials back for processing as quickly as
possible, as licensing programs can end abruptly. If you
have further questions about our licensing programs, please
contact your recruiter or call our licensing department
at 1-888-969-9212.
We are not currently offering a licensing program.
Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) States
The Nurse Licensure Compact allows any nurse who resides in one of the 22 participating compact states to practice nursing in any of the states forming the compact state alliance. States participating in the NLC include:
Walk-Through States
Walk-through states allow a nurse to be issued a temporary license within one hour to one day's time. This temporary license is used to practice nursing while awaiting permanent licensure to be processed. These temporary licenses obtained in walk-through states are usually valid for 30 days to six months depending on the state issuing the license. The following states allow licensure through "walk-through".
* Nurses applying for these licensing
programs must meet qualifications and take an assignment
in the state where the license applies. Programs end at
the discretion of U.S. Nursing.
